Happy Easter!

Happy Easter ! To all my friends out in blog land, I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend. I was hoping for some spring weather this weekend but instead we got more snow the past 2 days! That's Chicago for ya... arrggg!! Boy, these are the times I wish I lived out West somewhere!!

I am hosting Easter this year so I'll be baking cookies and a cake today... I'm going to try some double chocolate chunk cookies from Martha Stewart.com , I tried to link to the recipe but now I can't find it. Good thing I printed it out... hehehe. Martha Stewart.com has tons of yummy recipes. I Love her site. I'm having a mixture of different recipes for dinner this year. My girls only eat Chicken so for them I am making a big pan Greek Chicken and potatoes and I am also making a huge pot of Polish Sausage and Sauerkraut with Pork Chops, It's all simmered together in a big pot and the porkchops are so tender you can break them with a fork.

I also have to do a bit more cleaning ,with 5 Pugs I need to wash the furniture slipcovers at practically the last minute before a party, because they shed like crazy and I don't want my guests to have to sit in all those Puggie hairs. I gave all 5 of them a bath last night, now they are fluffy and clean. Well, I better get to baking and cleaning.

Have a great Holiday Weekend!

Pattie :)

Happy Easter Pattie. Yes, we're still having snow here in Michigan too. I don't remember a winter with so much snow! I want SPRING. We went to Good Friday service and sang Easter songs, I thought with the snow, Christmas songs would have been more appropriate!

I'm having Easter dinner too. Ham, cheese potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls and lots and lots of desserts :)

Enjoy your family.

Blessings,

Sher

Hi Pattie - Hope you had a great Easter. I have a question - just started my Kath Kidston granny squares and they seem so big. What size are yours and what size hook are you using. You inspired me with your granny squares - you do such beautiful work.

Annemarie, Thanks so much for the nice compliment. My squares are about 9 inches, I used an H hook. 7 rows total for each square , that includes the red border row. Hope that helps. I was going to email you but you don't have your blogger account set where people can email you.... I need to take a pic of my blanket. It's finished and I am putting a border around it now. It would be done but I've been doing other stuff around here. :)

Thanks Pattie - please do post a picture of your blanket - cannot wait to see it. I guess I am on the right track - my square is about 9 inches also and am using a H hook. I cannot believe you have it finished already! Thanks for telling me about the email with blogger - I was unaware of this feature. Thanks for all your help.

Pattie - I now see where I should place a check for email followup comments. I never noticed this before - thanks to you I am now on to this. All if this blogging is quite new to me but I am slowly learning.

Annemarie, I think you still have your blogger profile set as "private" though because when I click on your name "Annemarie" it doesn't show any thing in your profile , usually in the upper left hand corner it would have "email" and "website" that people can click on to either email you or visit your blog if you have one. Do you have a "blog" that we can visit? or just the blogger account? cuz I know sometimes people just have the blogger account so they can post comments on other blogs and that. Just wondering... I just thought maybe you didn't realize this and thought I would let you know... lol.
